Escapade
Silverstone Circuit, UK, 2023

Salacia have been on board from the very start – putting forward the brief, recommending suppliers, and turning around bespoke requirements quickly. The accessible bathrooms in particular are fantastic – they feel like part of the whole design, not an afterthought.

The Brief

Developer Emerging Advisory tasked Salacia with delivering:

  • A consistent, high-end design aesthetic across all bathrooms
  • Hospitality-grade DDA-compliant facilities
  • Specification within a fixed budget
  • Products with short lead times to suit the construction programme
WRAS-approved cisterns, taps, and shower valves

The Project

Salacia was appointed to supply bathrooms and washrooms for Escapade Silverstone – a luxury hospitality development of aparthotels and leisure facilities located trackside at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit.

Designed by Twelve Architects and built by HG Construction, the project comprises 60 residences ranging from one to four bedrooms, plus a central clubhouse with restaurant, bar, rooftop terrace, gym, swimming pool, and event spaces.

Salacia’s role:

  • Supply all guest bathrooms, ensuites, cloakrooms and accessible bathrooms
  • Supply clubhouse, staff, and service washrooms
  • Provide poolside wet-room and changing rooms facilities

Our Solution

Working from early 2020, Salacia’s Contracts department collaborated closely with the client team to develop a cohesive look and feel, using mood boards and technical data to guide selections.

The package included:

  • Guest facilities: Four en suites + cloakrooms in larger units; one en suite + cloakroom in smaller units.
  • Clubhouse & amenities: Ladies’, gents’ and disabled toilets; staff changing rooms; service facilities.
  • Poolside: Wet-room kits

Challenges

Despite the scale and complexity of the project – and the challenges posed by the pandemic – Salacia ensured:

  • All products were delivered on time
  • Specification was met without compromise
  • No supply delays or substitutions were required

Results

The project was completed in 2023, with all bathrooms delivered to budget and in line with the design intent.

Feedback from the developer highlighted both the quality of finish and the collaborative approach

Salacia x Escapade, Silverstone

To celebrate the completion of the project, Salacia created a light-hearted short film inspired by a well-known motoring programmes ‘secret’ racing driver. The video follows this ‘mysterious’ racing driver (who is definitely not our MD Ollie) making Salacia’s final delivery of the project, a box of Vado brassware. They arrive at Silverstone in style in one of our branded vans, with the licence plate FA57 BOG (yes, that really is the licence plate of one of our Vans, proof that even Independent Experts in Bathroom Design can’t resist a bit of toilet humour). Then after a strenuous day driving, they end the day relaxing in an iconic copper bath – helmet on.

A race to the finish
