The Project
Sissinghurst is a collection of 19 three and four-bedroom family homes by Fernham Homes. The development pairs traditional red-brick architecture with carefully considered contemporary interiors, creating homes designed to sit in harmony with their surroundings while meeting the expectations of today's buyers.
Salacia was appointed to specify and supply the bathroom packages for both the 19 homes and the village hall facilities.
The Brief
The brief asked for bathrooms that complemented the character of the homes while offering a clean, contemporary finish. Fernham Homes were looking for an affordable luxury aesthetic that would appeal to family buyers. Quality, longevity and practicality for everyday family use were central to every decision.
Each of the 19 plots was specified with the same three-room package: a family bathroom, an en-suite and a cloakroom. All plots shared a single consistent specification which had to be delivered cleanly, on time and across a coordinated supply programme.
Salacia's Role
Ben Hayden led the project for Salacia, managing the account from initial specification through to final product supply. His role covered product selection, pricing, bespoke specification across all bathrooms and coordinated delivery to suit the Fernham Homes construction programme.
57 bathroom rooms across three room types plus the village hall, required careful planning of lead times, delivery phasing and site logistics to keep pace with the build programme. Salacia managed this process throughout, ensuring both the residential and community aspects of the development were completed on time.
Our Solution
The core specification is built around a palette of sage green, carried consistently through the shower enclosures, bath surrounds, and vanity units, providing warmth and a sense of considered detail.
Vado Elements Mono brassware in polished chrome was chosen for its durability and clean, understated design which provides a consistent finish across each room. The family bathrooms are anchored by the Kaldewei Eurowa steel enamel bath, chosen for its quality of finish.
The cloakroom takes a different approach. with dark panelling lifted by a bold botanical wallpaper. The white wall-hung Vitra Integra basin sits against this layered backdrop, paired with classic chrome brassware. The result demonstrates how a smaller space in a development home can carry the same level of design intent as a principal bathroom.

Commercial Projects
If you’re working on a a bathroom package or exploring options for upcoming developments, our Projects & Contracts team can provide guidance on specifications, product choices and technical considerations.
“Ben and the team understood exactly what we were looking for: a bathroom specification that felt genuinely high quality without stretching the budget beyond what the homes required. The product choices hit the brief perfectly, and the whole project was managed smoothly from start to finish. We would not hesitate to recommend Salacia to other developers, and we very much look forward to working with them again.”
