About Us

Our Furniture

Designed and manufactured by Salacia in East Sussex, Salacia Furniture exists because we couldn’t find bathroom furniture that truly reflected how we design bathrooms.

Furniture designed to belong

Too often, bathroom furniture is treated as a standalone choice, fixed in size, limited in finish, and disconnected from the wider space it sits within.  Our collection balances contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship, resulting in furniture that is compelling and enduring.

Focussed on quality

Salacia's Furniture is designed and built by our team to order - in the UK at our production facility in East Sussex, supporting local craftsmanship and allowing us to maintain close control over quality, lead times, and material sourcing.

Building to order allows us to prioritise quality and reduce unnecessary waste.  It gives our craftspeople the time and control needed to make each piece properly, finished with care, and held to the standards that define Salacia Furniture.

Our collection

We have developed as a series of pre-designed vanity and storage models that provide a strong starting point without imposing rigid constraints.

Our designs include both freestanding and wall-hung vanity units in a range of widths to accommodate single and double configurations, with complementary items such as cabinets and tallboys also available, which can be tailored to suit your space.  Whether you’re working with a compact cloakroom or a generous family bathroom, the furniture is designed to respond to the room - not the other way around.

This flexibility allows the furniture to sit comfortably within a wide range of architectural contexts, from contemporary new builds to more traditional homes.

Thoughtful details

Every piece of Salacia furniture is designed with real bathrooms - and real use in mind. Proportions are carefully considered, storage is planned around everyday needs, and construction and engineering details are decided by craftspeople, not the bottom line.

Expect design features such as dovetail joints, soft-close drawers, and internal layouts designed specifically for bathroom use day-to-day.  We've added thoughtful details like motion-activated LED lighting beneath wall-hung units, providing ambient illumination without visual clutter.

Materials and finishes

Our Furniture collection is offered in a refined palette of materials and finishes, allowing you to create a piece that feels right for your space rather than forcing a predetermined aesthetic.

Carcasses can be specified in natural timbers finishes such as oak and walnut, contemporary materials including bamboo and Richlite®, or use a painted finish from our standard colour range.

Vanity tops are available in solid surface or quartz, selected for durability, ease of maintenance, and visual restraint. Hardware can be specified in a range of metal finishes, including silver, bronze, gold, and black.

Bespoke to you

Alongside our customisable collection of vanities, our design team can work with you to create fully bespoke furniture, developed specifically for your bathroom.

This allows complete freedom over size, configuration, materials, finishes, colours, hardware and internal storage - ensuring your furniture supports both the aesthetic and practical needs of your space.

No compromises

Salacia Furniture Vanity Units

From first ideas to fully bespoke pieces, our design team will help you shape bathroom furniture that fits your space and needs - as part of a considered, complete bathroom design.
