The Project
A converted barn in Goudhurst, Kent, now a generous family home spanning nine bathrooms, including a family bathroom, four en-suites, cloakrooms and a pool room. The home blends bold design with a luxurious rural style, pairing traditional features with a confident, contemporary finish throughout.
The Brief
Most whole-house projects call for a consistent design thread running through every room. This one asked for the opposite. Salacia was asked to design, specify and supply across the entire property, nine bathrooms in total, each with its own identity rather than a single scheme repeated at scale. This brief called for a full range of Salacia’s capability expressed across a single address.
Salacia’s Role
Salacia handled design, specification and supply for every bathroom across the property. A consistent base specification runs through the majority of the rooms, with three key spaces, the family bathroom, master bathroom and cloakrooms, given a distinct brassware and material palette to set them apart.
Our Solution
Across the Home
The majority of the bathrooms, en-suites and the pool room share a consistent core specification: Hurlingham Galleon cast iron baths, Vado Elements and Origins brassware in brushed nickel, Duravit LUV basins, bespoke Majestic shower doors in brushed nickel, Laufen Pro shower trays, ME by Starck wall mounted WC’s and JIS Ouse towel rails.
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom is the most distinct room in the house, specified with Samuel Heath Landmark brassware and accessories in City Bronze, a Hurlingham Shikara cast iron bath and a Sterlingham Tura towel rail in medium bronze.
Family Bathroom
The family bathroom breaks from the core brassware specification with Crosswater Union brassware in brushed black chrome.
Cloakrooms
The cloakrooms are finished with Crosswater MPRO brassware in brushed brass.
