Laufen
Laufen is a Swiss sanitaryware manufacturer founded in 1892, now part of the Roca Group. From production facilities in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Spain, the brand supplies ceramic sanitaryware, furniture, faucets and accessories across more than 60 countries. Its defining material innovation is Saphirkeramik, a proprietary ceramic developed in 2013 that allows walls as thin as three millimetres while retaining exceptional strength. Laufen's design programme is built on collaboration: collections including Kartell by Laufen, The New Classic and Il Bagno Alessi One bring studio quality design thinking into production scale bathroom collections. The brand holds Cradle to Cradle Certification for ceramics produced in its Gmunden factory and operates the world's first electric tunnel kiln for sanitaryware production.
