The New Classic

The New Classic is a complete bathroom collection by Laufen designed by Marcel Wanders, reinterpreting neoclassical forms using Saphirkeramik. The collection pairs soft, feminine curves with angular masculine elements throughout basins, WC pans, a bidet, bathtub, faucets and furniture. Washbasin surfaces are available in three decorative reliefs: Cosmopolitan, Bohemian and Ornamental.
Marcel Wanders described The New Classic as a poetic experience: a bathroom recalling the romance of earlier eras without forsaking function. Saphirkeramik allows ceramic walls just three millimetres thick, giving pieces that are light yet strong. Furniture in walnut, dark oak veneer, gloss white and matt grey completes a collection built to be fully lived in.
