The Project
Situated in the basement of this Kent property, the bathroom was conceived as a sequence of spa-like zones, aligning the design with sensory details and practical, everyday use.
Light and sound were critical to the atmosphere. A coffered ceiling with slatted timber cladding and recessed spotlights creates warmth and focus, while integrated Bang & Olufsen sound enhances the sensory spa experience.
Our Solution
At the heart of the design is a bespoke Japanese soaking tub, sourced exclusively for the client. Designed for deep immersion up to the neck, the tub encourages muscle relaxation and stress relief. Set against a backdrop of slatted blonde timber cladding, the black tub stands in striking contrast, emphasising the drama of the space and it is positioned opposite a recessed television, creating the perfect environment for unwinding.
- The tub is complemented by a floor-standing Vado Origins tap in brushed black, its sculptural form reinforcing the minimalist aesthetic.
- Heating is provided by Diffusion Pelham and JIS Europe Pevensey electric towel rails both in brushed black, seamlessly blending comfort with style.
- The shower zone features Matki Eauzone walk-in glass paired with a Vado Tablet Altitude Vertical system in brushed black, complete with dual outlet mixer and coordinated accessories.
- The vanity area combines a Quare Frame basin with a Dansani bespoke unit, balancing craftsmanship with clean modern lines.
