The Project
Working closely with the client’s design vision, Salacia sourced and supplied all sanitaryware, brassware, and bathroom packages for the master bathroom, ensuites, and cloakroom. The result is a series of spaces that are unified in their minimalist modern aesthetic yet individually tailored to suit the character of each room.
Design Notes
As Elliott-Jarvis Green, MD at Molecule Designs, explains: ‘This bathroom is all about slowing down and switching off. From the soft glow of the lighting to the sculptural tub and basin, every detail was created to make this space feel like a private retreat.’”
Our Solution
The master bathroom is a zen, spa-like statement of modern luxury. A recessed-lit platform elevates a charcoal freestanding bath within its own wet room zone, paired with a shower beneath the eaves. Precision drainage was achieved using the Series 5 wet room kit, ensuring flawless function beneath the architectural detailing.
- Coalbrook gunmetal brassware throughout adds counterpoints to the matte stone textures, giving depth and definition.
- Freestanding marble basins and a separate black WC add sculptural contrast.
- Floor-level lighting heightens the sense of calm, balancing functionality with tranquillity.
The ensuite bathrooms took a softer approach, balancing black and grey detailing with a light, airy neutral palette.
- Coalbrook brushed brass brassware introduced warmth and subtle contrast, echoing the warmth of wood cladding.
- Reeded glass panels provided privacy while adding texture and a nod to art deco elegance.
Across all spaces, Salacia’s role was to ensure the design intent was realised with practical, high-performance solutions. This included coordinating finishes across Vitra Sento sanitaryware, Just Taps Evo basin brassware, and Tunbridge Wells Brassware Co.Eridge towel rails.
